Resolved

On the night of Aug 6th, 2019, Carbon Black had a mis-formatted signature file published to its update servers serving CB Defense customers. As a result, CB Defense sensors went through a continual cycle of attempting to download a new signature file in the correct format. This caused a higher than normal network load upon our customers’ networks compared to normal CB Defense traffic.

When the issue was discovered, we made changes to remove the impact to our customer’s networks. We are actively watching network patterns to ensure that further escalated levels of network traffic do not occur again.
