Impact: Frictionless transactions (which do not require a challenge step) are entirely unaffected. However, cardholders may experience intermittent failures if a challenge step is triggered.

Arcot monitoring has detected an intermittent rate of MasterCard challenge transaction failures. We have engaged with MasterCard and are actively investigating the issue, prioritizing service recovery.
Impact: Transactions that do not require a challenge step (frictionless) will not be impacted. The cardholder may experience increased latency while being challenged, causing the cardholder to abandon the purchase, or an error in the challenge window will be presented.
