This release of VIP Authentication Services contains the following new features:

  • Enhancements to the VIP REST APIs
  • More options for end users to create temporary security codes in My VIP and the VIP Self Service Portal
  • Ability to block or allow access to My VIP by IP address
  • Global throttles for SMS messages
  • Ability to restrict users from deleting credentials in My VIP
  • Disabled security code entry after a user is locked
  • Enhanced My VIP messaging
  • Technical improvements, and security upgrades

As a reminder, Symantec is renewing multiple VIP SSL certificates using the DigiCert Global Root G2 CA later this year.

There is no impact to your implementations at this time. However, please refer to the Knowledge Article, Action Required: Root CA change for Symantec VIP SSL certificates, for complete details about the migration timelines and any actions you may need to take to avoid service interruptions in the future.
