Arcot for Merchants service experienced a problem between 05:10 GMT and 08:45 GMT on 19 September 2020, where connectivity errors with the Amex Directory Server were observed while attempting to send Authentication Request (AReq) messages. This was due to Amex having updated their DNS mapping, leading to IP Address mapped to their domain to change.
