Spike in Unavailable transactions for 3D Secure 1.0.2 on Secure5

Between 1530 GMT and 1727 GMT on 07 September 2020, Arcot for Issuers service (Transaction Manager) experienced a problem where 3D Secure 1.0.2 challenge transactions failed with a status of ‘Unavailable’. 3D Secure 1.0.2 frictionless were unaffected. There was no impact to EMV 3DS transactions. The problem was found to be caused due to Transaction Manager ACS not being able to connect with callouts that make API calls to Issuer backends in order to perform certain operations for cardholder authentication flow.
