The scheduled maintenance has been completed.
Scheduled maintenance is currently in progress. We will provide updates as necessary.
In preparation for our previously announced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) migration, scheduled network maintenance will occur in WSS data centers globally on April 15, 2020 starting at 01:00 UTC and is expected to last up to 4 hours. No data centers will be migrated as part of this maintenance.
Impact Customers connecting via IPSec to the Buenos Aires (AEP1) data center: Once maintenance is complete, a carrier routing issue will be reintroduced that prevents the Buenos Aires (AEP1) data center from properly accessing content hosted on Akamai. Unfortunately, the upstream carrier, which Symantec has no direct relationship with, will not resolve the issue and Symantec cannot delay our data center migration indefinitely hoping that the situation will improve. Therefore, the best course of action is for customers to migrate to the new Argentina (GARBA) data center (as announced on April 6, 2020) or switch to a backup site such as Sao Paulo until migration to GARBA can be completed. We apologize in advance for the accelerated timeline that this creates for migrating to the new Argentina site and the additional strain it may put on customer network teams.
Customers in the region using all other connection methods will automatically be moved to the new Argentina (GARBA) site prior to the maintenance to avoid disruption in connectivity to Akamai-based content.
No other data center will be impacted.
