New Dubai Data Center Announcement
The scheduled maintenance has been completed.
The Symantec Web Security Service Team is pleased to announce a new point of presence in Dubai, which will come online today, March 21, 2019. This location is being added to the region as a complement to our existing Dubai data center, which will remain in operation providing multiple options to our customers in this region.
The VIP for the new Dubai location is: 87.200.12.164
The new Dubai location will retrieve content using the following source IP networks:
Action Required If connectivity from your network(s) to the Web Security Service is regulated by firewall rules, these rules must be adjusted to allow traffic to pass to the new data center VIP. In addition, please ensure that any source-based access controls applied by you or your vendors are updated to reflect the new source IP networks (listed above) to ensure WSS traffic can pass unencumbered.
No action is required for customers using connectivity methods that rely on DNS or Symantec’s Cloud Traffic Controller such as Unified Agent or Proxy connections to proxy.threatpulse.net. These connections may start to automatically use the new Dubai location on 4 April 2018, depending on multiple factors. Customers connecting via IPSec may connect to the new VIP immediately.
